Aussie Bulldogs, Loved By Name, Adored by Nature
Backed by Committed Breeders For The Future.
The original intention of the Founders of the breed, was to
create a versatile healthy bulldog, to improve on the British
Bulldog, and to be similar to the Bullmastiff but smaller in
appearance, by keeping the great temperament and breed
characteristics of both these breeds.
Since this program began, Noel and Tina Green had a goal to
create a new Breed in Australia " The Aussie Bulldog" which has
now been achieved through continually guiding past and present
breeders within the UABA & ABS.
The UABA was
originally formed by Noel & Tina Green & Pip Nobes, then
Pip later broke away to form the Australian Bulldog Society
(ABS)
These are the two breed clubs in place today.
The UABA is still breeding within the percentage scale guidelines,
which is based on the exact mathematical percentage of BBD in
each Aussie bulldog and we still use British Bulldogs where
needed in some lines to help improve breed consistency and to
increase and maintain the ideal breed percentage of 81.25 % to
87.5 %.
The ABS no longer use this system.
The UABA is an unincorporated association run by an
administration team, as well as
breed registrars, breed delegates and board members that
volunteer their time to maintain the association and support
this new emerging breed
as a united group.
Any funds received from litter registrations, breeder/stud
listings, merchandise and fun day raffles, will all go back into advertising
and breed promotional work.
This Association does not support unethical breeding and is in
place to document, sustain & assess Aussie bulldogs being bred
for future generations that are equal or better than the last
generation.
